1. About This Guide
This guide is for embedded developers working with Nations Technologies N32H49x MCUs. It explains where to obtain chip documents and tools, how the SDK is organized, and how to use the peripheral driver APIs and example projects.
1.1 Applicable Series and Models
The N32H49x series consists of three sub-series, N32H492, N32H493, and N32H497, all built on a 32-bit Arm Cortex-M4F core with single-precision floating-point and DSP instructions, running at up to 240 MHz. The table below lists the sub-series and the part numbers given in the official selection guide.
| Sub-series | Max frequency | Part numbers in the selection guide |
|---|---|---|
| N32H492 | 240 MHz | N32H492REL7, N32H492RGB7, N32H492NEB7, N32H492NGB7, N32H492MEB7, N32H492MGB7, N32H492VEL7, N32H492VGL7, N32H492ZEL7, N32H492ZGL7 |
| N32H493 | 240 MHz | N32H493MEB7, N32H493MGB7, N32H493NEB7, N32H493NGB7, N32H493REB7, N32H493RGB7 |
| N32H497 | 240 MHz | N32H497NGB7, N32H497MGB7, N32H497RGB7, N32H497RGL7, N32H497VGL7, N32H497VGL7C, N32H497ZGL7 |
All three sub-series run at 240 MHz on a Cortex-M4F core; they differ in memory size, pin count, and package: N32H497 has the largest SRAM, and N32H493 supports an independent low-voltage I/O domain. Refer to the datasheet of each sub-series for the Flash, SRAM, GPIO count, package, and pin resources of a specific part.
The example projects target the full-featured board N32H497ZGL7_EVB V1.0. The board macros are switched between N32H497ZGL7_STB_V1_0 and N32H497ZGL7_EVB_V1_0 through DEMO_BOARD in bsp/inc/bsp_eval.h, with the latter as the default. The readme.txt in each example directory lists the parts that example supports.
1.2 SDK Version
This guide is based on the SDK Nsing.N32H49x_Library.1.2.0. The N32H49x Version History.txt in the SDK root records four versions: Nations.N32H49x_Library.0.1.0 is the initial release; 1.0.0 adds the V2 xSPI driver and examples, adds IAR projects, and optimizes the RCC, USBFS, RTC, FLASH, and SPI implementations; 1.1.0 optimizes comments and several driver functions, including the note that FLASH latency depends on SYSCLK and the usage notes for RCC prefetch and EXTPLL, adds the USART_FirstByteDelayFixSet function, and updates option byte USER2; 1.2.0 changes the bit operation that clears SU1H and AD1H in the RTC driver RTC_ConfigDayLightSaving() and corrects the FEMC macro FEMC_NCTRL_ECCPGS_MASK and the parameter initialization in FEMC_InitNorSram().
