1. About This Guide
This guide is for embedded developers working with Nations Technologies N32G033 series MCUs. It explains where to obtain chip documents and tools, how the SDK is organized, and how to use the peripheral driver APIs and example projects.
1.1 Applicable Series and Models
The N32G033 series is built on a 32-bit Arm Cortex-M0 core running at up to 64 MHz with single-cycle hardware multiplication. It integrates up to 64 KB Flash and 6 KB SRAM, one 12-bit 1 Msps ADC with up to 11 external input channels, three rail-to-rail OPAMPs with programmable gain, one high-speed analog comparator with a built-in 256-level adjustable reference, and three UART, two SPI, and two I2C interfaces. This guide covers the N32G033 part of the series; the main features come from the official model page, and the package, memory size, GPIO count, and operating conditions are defined by the datasheet.
The SDK selects the device with a compile macro: define N32G033 in the project (in the GCC Makefile it is -DN32G033). The device header, system clock initialization, and startup files are all named n32g033. The readme.txt in each example directory lists the parts that example supports.
1.2 SDK Version
This guide is based on the SDK Nsing.N32G033_Library.1.3.0, and the version is taken from the library directory name. The N32G033 version history.txt in the SDK root records versions up to V1.2.0: V1.0.0 is the initial release; V1.1.0 adds the ADC_Temp, FreeRTOS, and TimeBasic6_wakeup examples and the ClassB application routine, and removes the PWR_EnterSLEEPMode function and the GPIO open-drain output mode; V1.1.1 adds the IWDG_Freeze_Enable function and updates the COMP, RCC, and UART functions along with several macro definitions; V1.2.0 makes the input and alternate-function mode configurable in the GPIO initialization function and changes the BKIN pin of the ComplementarySignals example to input plus alternate function.
| Material | Version | Description |
|---|---|---|
| SDK | Nsing.N32G033_Library.1.3.0 |
Basis of the SDK directory chapter and of the APIs and demos in chapter 5 |
| User manual | V1.2.0 (2026.3.30) | Peripheral registers and functions; main basis of the notes and troubleshooting sections |
| Errata sheet | V1.0.0 (2025.9.25) | The errata list targets A-version chips; it lists one entry for the I2C interface |
| Product brief | V1.1.1 | Key features, main resource configuration, and packages |
| Datasheet | V1.2.0 | Main functions, pins, packages, and electrical characteristics |
| Keil support pack | KEIL-N32G033 (V1.1.0 on the website) | Device part numbers, Flash programming algorithms, and debug configuration |
The user manual supplied with the package is split by chapter, and its version history records V1.2.0 (2026.3.30), which matches the user manual version listed on the website. The version of the official SDK package in the download center may change with new releases; check the version number in the directory name when you obtain it.
1.3 Scope
| Chapter | Content |
|---|---|
| Chapter 1 About This Guide | Applicable parts, SDK and document versions, where to obtain materials |
| Chapter 2 Product and Kit Overview | Core and peripheral overview; number of driver modules, public APIs, and examples in the SDK |
| Chapter 3 Documentation and Tool Navigation | Chip and development documents, evaluation boards, SDK and support packages, official website entries |
| Chapter 4 SDK Directory Structure | Top-level layout, firmware library, projects directory, structure of an example, development aids |
| Chapter 5 Peripherals and Examples | Related files, API reference, demo descriptions, and notes and troubleshooting for each peripheral and functional module |
This guide does not replace the datasheet or the user manual: electrical parameters, register definitions, and timing requirements are defined by the manuals.
